The ACIEA team gave a full presentation of the SAAGDO mobile app and its administration platform. This citizen digital solution aims to improve the handling and follow-up of unauthorised dumps in Ouagadougou and Bobo-Dioulasso: citizens report an illegal dump or any pollution by taking a photo with their phone, with geolocation added automatically so that the relevant services can act quickly. The app also guides citizens to the nearest public toilets.
The municipal authorities praised the relevance and the environmental and civic reach of the initiative, and expressed their wish to work closely with ACIEA, in particular on the take-up and deployment of the app.
