ACIEA and GWP West Africa formalise a strategic partnership
A Memorandum of Understanding signed on 3 July 2026 in Ouagadougou on sustainable water management, climate resilience and digital innovation, centred on the SAAGDO solution.
On 3 July 2026, the Alliance for Climate Innovation and Ecological Action (ACIEA) and the Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the GWP-WA Secretariat in Ouagadougou.
The partnership aims to contribute innovative, inclusive and sustainable solutions to water pollution, sanitation, environmental degradation and climate change challenges in West Africa.
SAAGDO at the heart of the collaboration
The partnership centres on the deployment of SAAGDO, a mobile application and management platform designed to strengthen environmental monitoring, citizen mapping and the prediction of water- and sanitation-related pollution risks.
