ACIEA awarded at the EcoWorld 2025 international competition
An award in the “youth programmes and projects in ecology and environmental protection” category, presented in Moscow on 6 February 2026.
The Alliance for Climate Innovation and Ecological Action (ACIEA) received an official award at the EcoWorld 2025 international competition, organised by the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
The award was given in the “Youth Programs, Projects in the Field of Ecology and Environmental Protection” category, for the Alliance’s educational and practical work for environmental protection, notably against desertification in Burkina Faso. ACIEA took part with its SAAGDO project.
A ceremony in Moscow
The official award ceremony took place in Moscow on 6 February 2026, attended by members of the Russian Parliament and diplomatic representatives. The Embassy of Burkina Faso in Russia was represented by a delegate, who received the certificate on the Alliance’s behalf.
The Ambassador’s congratulations
In a letter dated 19 February 2026, His Excellency the Ambassador of Burkina Faso to the Russian Federation sent ACIEA his official congratulations on this participation, crowned by a diploma from the jury.
The Alliance dedicates this distinction to African youth committed to the climate and to everyone working to restore land in Burkina Faso.
