World Environment Day 2025: acting against plastic pollution
For 5 June 2025, ACIEA calls on every citizen and institution to act against plastic pollution.
Every 5 June, the world marks World Environment Day, established by the United Nations in 1972. In 2025 its theme was “Beat plastic pollution”, a threat that chokes ecosystems, pollutes soil and water and endangers people’s health.
ACIEA calls on every citizen, institution and economic and social actor to act, through simple steps:
- cut single-use plastic;
- choose biodegradable or reusable packaging;
- consume responsibly;
- support green innovation and sustainable local solutions.
For a clean, resilient Burkina Faso looking towards an ecological future.
