Eco-Citizen Holiday Camp 2025: young people gather in Komsilga for a green future
From 2 to 8 September 2025, the municipality of Komsilga hosted the Eco-Citizen Holiday Camp: workshops on soilless farming, recycling used tyres and eco-citizenship, alongside tree-planting.
From 2 to 8 September 2025, the municipality of Komsilga hosted the Eco-Citizen Holiday Camp, bringing together dozens of young people around a shared vision: a world that respects the environment and stands together in the face of climate challenges.
Learning and acting
Over seven days, participants took part in hands-on workshops:
- Soilless farming: an innovative response to food security and climate challenges.
- Recycling used tyres: turning waste into useful resources to reduce pollution.
- Eco-citizenship: understanding one’s role and responsibilities in building a sustainable future.
The training was complemented by practical actions such as tree planting.
A space for fellowship
Beyond learning, the camp was a space for intercultural exchange: campfire discussions, traditional tales and moments of conviviality strengthened team spirit.
