Context and rationale
Tree planting is one of the practical ways ACIEA mobilises young people for nature and climate resilience.
On 21 June 2025, for National Tree Day, ACIEA members planted seedlings in Loumbila, together with the Permanent Secretariat for REDD+, as part of the national challenge to plant five million trees in one hour.
In July 2025, the Alliance also brought its members and supporters to a tree-planting day alongside 2iE in Ouagadougou.
